Phillip S. "Stan" Pruett

A graveside funeral service for Phillip S. Pruett, 64, of McCarley will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona, with Rev. Dennis McKay officiating.
Mr. Pruett died of cancer at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood on Sunday, March 29. He was born in Phillipston on January 28, 1951, to the late Aaron and Ola B. Lishman Pruett. He was a former factory worker and a member of Phillipston Baptist Church. Mr. Pruett held a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was an avid Mississippi State fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Aaron Pruett and Jim Pruett.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Patsy Ballard Pruett of McCarley; son, Philip S. Pruett Jr. (Erica) of Greenwood; four sisters, Helen Haskins, Barbara Hill, Brenda Armstrong,and Betty Porter; two brothers, Ken Pruett and Don Pruett; two grandchildren, Taylor and Mackenzie Pruett; and a host of nieces and nephews.
