PERRY - Services for Rose Marie Bergman, 62, of Perry were held Jan. 31, 1995 at Hastings Funeral Home with burial at Panther Creek Cemetery, Adel. Mrs. Bergman died of cancer January 27, 1995 at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry.

The daughter of Edward and Eva Harper Townsend, she was born December 9, 1932 at Mount Moriah, Missouri. She attended school in Adel and was the state spelling champion in 1944 and 1945. She married Robert Cooper in 1950.

After Robert's death, she married Loyd Bergman in 1984 and they moved to Perry. Together they owned and operated All-Rite Pizza in Des Moines. She later worked as a sales clerk at Places Family Discount Store in Perry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Robert and Loyd; two sisters, Ellen Woodford and Joy Hutchins, and one brother, Reynold Townsend.

Survivors include four sons, Dr. Robert L. Cooper of Blue Springs, Missour, Charles Cooper of Des Moines, Kenneth Cooper of Pocahontas, and Harry Cooper of Patterson; three daughters, Linda Milosevic of Aurora, Colorado, Denise Bullock of Ames, Michelle Dorman of Indianola; three step-children Gary Bergman of Ottumwa, Laurie Mosby and Phillip Bergman, both of Carrollton, Missouri; and 13 grandchildren.
