Marvin O. Coker was born June 17, 1926 in Bear, Oklahoma to Robert and Tina (Bottoms) Coker. He passed away in Edmond, Oklahoma on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the age of 89.

Marvin grew up in the Bear area. He married Helen Maxine Zenger on December 23, 1949 in Lookeba, OK and to this marriage 3 children were born. They made their home in Lookeba and later moved to Chickasha in 1968.

He worked for C.R. Anthony's for many years before retiring in 1991. After retiring, he went after his true desire which was to be a BBQ Master. He and Maxine owned and operated M&M Barbeque from a barbecue/smoker trailer which he setup in front of Lightners Grocery and many other locations.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Coker on March 30, 2013; his parents and 4 brothers and sisters.

Marvin is survived by his 3 children: Janelle Gray and her husband, Gary;
Larry Coker and his wife, Sandy;
Steve Coker and his wife, Tracie;

8 Grandchildren: Terry Gray and his wife, Laura;
Teresa Gaccetta and her husband, Joe;
Ashley Kaene and her husband, Michael;
Dereck Brooks and Brandon Brooks;
Brent Coker and Jonathan Coker;
and Sandra Billings;5 Great Grandchildren: Amelia, Andrew and Adam Gaccetta and Carys and Brody Gray.
