OBITUARY: DEATH CALLS THE SISTER OF LOCAL BISHOP - Sister Mary Seraphia Succumbs in Dubuque on Thursday.
Sister May Seraphia, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis, Dubuque, Iowa, and a sister of the Rt. Rev. Henry Patrick Rohlman, bishop of Davenport, died Thursday afternoon at Mercy Hospital, Dubuque, after an illness of a month's duration. She had been a member of the community for more than 40 years.
Bishop Rohlman left for Dubuque last Tuesday after having received word of her critical condition and remained until the end came.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from Mt. St. Francis, Dubuque. The Rt. Rev. Monsignor F. J. Leonard, vicar general, and other local clergymen will go the funeral.
Sister was born Louise Rohlman, daughter of Bernard Heinrich Rohlmann & Bernadina Rohlmann (née Hussmann).
