CHARLOTTE - Sandra "Sue" Page Boyer, 76, of Charlotte, passed peacefully in her home Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was a vivacious person who loved her children, grandchildren and her dear friends. She loved life. She was an avid athlete throughout her entire life as well as an artist. She loved to travel to both local and international destinations. She loved going to the beach with a good book and a good friend. Anyone who remembers her will never forget that she had the most beautiful smile on the earth. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl Lee Page and Evelyn Hatley Page, her sisters Marlene Hamilton and Patsy Blalock, all of Albemarle. Sue is survived by her dear sister Pansy P. Hill of Badin, her children Lee McManus (wife Barbara) of Albemarle, Trish McManus Fizer (husband Randy) of Charlotte, Stuart McManus of Asheville and Erika Boyer of Charlotte. She is also survived by her grandchildren Drew McManus, Emma Long, Madeline McManus and Avery Boyer. There will be no formal service per Sue's request. She expressed her wishes for her children to spread her ashes in special or memorable places. To cite one of her favorite songs, we hope Mom is "sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away". We will miss her dearly and always.
