Obituary is from the Nash and Slaw Funeral Home, King George, Va. website (www.nashandslawfh.com), posted March 31, 2015:

Molly, Brent Todd, 94, died peacefully at home in Dahlgren on Sunday, March 29, 2015.

Born in Salinas, California, she was the only child of William S. Brent and Mary Mae Brisbine (Brent). After graduating from high school, she moved to Richmond, Virginia, to live with her father and step-mother and attend Richmond Polytechnic Institute, where she received an Associate’s Degree in Commercial Art.

Molly was married to the late Thomas Day Todd for 43 glorious years. After his death in January 1989, Molly shared the home of her daughter Sharon and family in Dahlgren.
Molly lived a rich and full life. As a single woman she worked as a secretary in Richmond and in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, for the Manhattan Project. After her marriage in January 1946, she raised their four children, volunteered in her church and community and later became a Kindergarten Aide in Fairfax County Schools. After moving to Dahlgren, Molly became a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, volunteered at the Northern Neck Historical Society Library in Montross and joined the Leedstown Resolution Chapter of the DAR. She also gave much invaluable assistance to her daughter and son-in-law during their own child-rearing years.

Molly was preceded in death by her beloved husband Tom, and by their first grandchild Richard Gordon Rawls, who died in infancy.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: JoAnne Todd and Loyd D. Rawls of Newport News, Sharon Todd and Victor H Gehman, Jr. of Dahlgren, Jerrell B. and Eva Hite Todd of Richmond and Thomas Scott and Kelly Todd of Uncusville, Connecticut.
She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and their various spouses: Gordon S. and Amy Bates Rawls, Thomas M. and Cara Parks Rawls, William H. and Lisa Davis Rawls, Victor Michael Gehman, Thomas Todd and Jacqueline Santos Gehman, Matthew J. and Candace Gehman, James R. Gehman, Molly Elizabeth Gehman, Amy Todd and Albert Snyder III, Maggie M. Todd, Sarah Jean Todd, Katherine Joy Todd and Thomas Samuel Todd.
She is also survived by one Snyder and five assorted Rawls great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

Molly lived a life of loving acts and service to Christ, her family, friends and community. She departed this world with the gentle grace that characterized her life and her family rejoices that she has rejoined her beloved Tom, although they are both dearly missed.

A visitation for friends and neighbors will be held at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home in King George on Monday April 6 from 6:00-7:30 PM followed by a brief prayer service.

The Funeral and Interment will be at Wilderness Baptist Church on Plank Road in Spotsylvania County, where so many of the family rest, on Tuesday April 7 at 11:30 AM.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial gifts may be given to: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Wilderness Baptist Church, the Northern Neck Historical Society Library or the Leedstown Resolutions Chapter of the DAR.
