MARKHAM - Andrew James 'Drew' McGinnes, Jr., 68, of Markham, Texas, passed away March 30, 2015. He was born November 5, 1946 to the late A.J 'Pat' McGinnes and Mildred Idoux McGinnes.

He was a member of Markham United Methodist Church, Commander of Blessing American Legion Post 649, president of the Matagorda Bay Chapter of Serve Outdoors, Inc. and member of the Masonic Lodge #7 in Matagorda. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era, from 1965-1969.

Drew is survived by his wife Sharon of Markham; son Shawn P. McGinnes and wife Jenny of Santa Fe; daughter Sonya D. Tise and husband Johnny of Palacios; son Kevin W. Deyton and his wife Tammy of Sour Lake; brother Mickey McGinnes of Victoria; sister Debbie Poessel of Palacios; grandchildren Trevor Jones, Madeline Harvey and Alexis Deyton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy McGinnes.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home. Services will be held at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City with Rev. Bill Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery.
