Mrs. Alice Taylor, Wife of William Taylor Dies
Mrs. Alice Taylor, age 80, native of Shelby county and wife of William Taylor, died at her home in Shelby township Thursday at 10:00 p.m. after an illness of several months. Death was caused by complications incidental to advanced age.
She was born in Shelby county on February 22, 1864, the daughter of George and Mary Nugent. Her marriage to Mr. Taylor took place in 1882. Surviving with the husband are two children, Earl Taylor, of Washington township, and Mrs. Ethel Beaumont, of Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Johnson, of Shelby township; two brothers, George Nugent of Columbus, and Alex Nugent of Noble township; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Loren H. Murphy funeral home today at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. A. M. Hamilton officiating. Burial will be made in the Lewis Creek Baptist cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.
