Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Gossett, age 86, are scheduled for 10 AM, Friday, June 5, 2020 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery.

Mrs. Gossett passed away on Monday in Lexington. She was born July 17, 1933 in Jackson to the late Benjamin Franklin Wood and Lillie Mae Eddings Bowman. She was a member of Wildersville Baptist Church and retired from MagneTek. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, going to church, and singing. She loved her family dearly. She wrote “Bargain in the Shed”.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny and David Gossett; two brothers, Harold and Ernest Wood; and one grandchild, Tulley Gossett.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Bro. Howell Gossett; two sons, Jeffrey D. Gossett and Todd Gossett (Teresa); two daughters, Vicky Butler (Larry) and Gayle Ross (Steve); one brother, Ben Frank Wood; thirteen grandchildren, Misty Brittain (Keith), Starla Hayes (Brian), Casey Gossett, Dylan Gossett (Jessica), Dallas Gossett (Shelby), Clint Gossett, Jeremy Gossett (Brooke), Angie Atwood (Andy), Daniel Butler (Jill), Lindsay Hart, Blake Ross (Shelby), Dustin Wallace (Jennifer), and Colton Bartholomew (Coleen); twenty great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
