Loretta Susan Hallett of Corvallis died Feb. 7 of complications associated with multiple sclerosis. The former Junction City resident was 50. She was born Sept. 17, 1947, in Eugene, to George and Eleanor Bailey Horning. In 1964, she married Eugene Hallett in Corvallis. They later divorced.
She was raised on a farm in the Irish Bend area of South Benton County. She attended Irish Bend Elementary School, Monroe Union High School, and later graduated from Junction City High School. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her parents of Corvallis; her grandmother, Nancy Horning of Monroe; a son, Kenneth of Salem; two daughters, Susan Cook of Corvallis and Terrie Davie of Jefferson; three brothers, Clifford and Eric Horning, both of Monroe, and David Horning of Bellfountain; two sisters, Katherine Freeman of Alpine and Diana Gamache of Bellfountain; and six grandchildren.
A funeral was held Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m. at Bellfountain Community Church. Burial was at Monroe Cemetery.
