Oscar received the Philippine Liberation Medal, the Presidential Citation and the American Campaign National Defense Medal. Mr. Barrett was a member of the SS Barrett American Legion Post, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 469, the National Association of Atomic Veterans and the Halfmoon American Legion Post 1450. He was a tractor trailer driver then worked for the Capital District Transportation Authority, where he was a bus driver for several years. His sons, Stephen C. and Stanley H. Barrett, were both killed in action in the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, a son, daughter, a brother, Charles Barrett of Hampton, N.H. and a grandson.
