We are deeply saddened to share with you that Angela Dawn Crisp, 23, of Ventura, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Angela was born April 23, 1988 in Ventura, and had graduated from Our Lady of the Assumption School and St. Bonaventure High School. Angela played AYSO soccer for 10 years and was on the 2001 U14 National team and continued to play soccer while in high school. She was a life long resident of Ventura surrounded by family and friends which were such an important part of her life. She had such a bright smile, big heart and was always giving to others. She loved animals and had a huge soft spot for anything furry that barked or meowed. She was working as an in-home caregiver and had attended Ventura College and Cal State University, Channel Islands pursuing her dream of earning her degree in Nursing before her sudden passing. She is survived by her mother, Dana Grooms of Moorpark; brother, Steven Thiele of Ventura; grandparents, John and Gwen Crisp and Joann Siefert all of Ventura; husband, Nathan Vera; uncle and aunt, Ian and Amie Crisp, cousins Spencer and Jenna of Tigard, Oregon; and godparents, Peter and Dawn Crisp of England. She was preceded in death by her father Adrian Crisp and her grandfather Bernard Siefert. "Flowers whisper "Beauty!" to the world, even as they fade, wilt or fall". ~Dr. SunWolf. You will be missed but never forgotten our special flower, Princess Angela. Visitation will take place Saturday, June 25, 2011, Noon until 2:00 P.M. at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura with services celebrating her life beginning at 2:30 P.M. also at the funeral home. The family request that everyone wear pink in honor of Angela. Contributions may be made in Angela's memory to Ventura A.Y.S.O or the Ventura Humane Society.
