Interment: in Cleburne Memorial Park, Cleburne.
Doris, daughter of the late E.E. "Mike" and Doris Hunter Henderson, was born and raised in Fort Worth. She graduated from Paschal High School, earned a bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas and a master's degree from Tarleton State University. Upon graduation, she returned to Paschal High School for her entire teaching career. As a member of Southside Church of Christ, Doris actively supported children's programs and missions. Doris was interested in anything historical and especially the history of Texas. She was an avid bridge player and would amaze her partner and opponents by carrying on a non-stop conversation and still know exactly what cards each person was holding. She was a member of Altrusa International, where she enjoyed working on the Spring Fling, and the Fort Worth Woman's Club, where she was one of the "library ladies." Survivors: She is survived by several cousins and a host of friends and neighbors who will miss her special cards, her comments and her compassion.
