Nell Shore Matthews, 81, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 15, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel. To honor Nell’s request, the family will hold a private family burial.
Nell was born February 13, 1934 in Watauga County, NC to the late Hal and Winifred Shore. Her life was lived in serving others. The love she showered on others was a direct reflection of her deep faith.
Her survivors include her husband, Bobby E. Matthews, sons Neal E. Matthews (Amanda), and Kevin D. Matthews (Claudia), as well as grandchildren, Casey, Nicholas, Morgan and Olivia Matthews. She is also survived by one sister, Phyllis Shore Bumbaugh, many nieces, nephews and extended family.
