Henry & Mary had three children: Henry, Hattie, & Annie.
Their son Henry died a year after his birth 1864 in Autauga County, Alabama.

Mr. Henry Hale, a brother to Mrs. Tarrant, died of Strangulated Hernia, at "Mountain Home" near Birmingham, Alabama, May 23, 1880. His two little daughters are here with their aunt attending school. We tender to them & Mrs. T. our heartfelt sympathy. Mr. Hale was most highly esteemed by this entire community and other acquaintances who knew him in Kentucky.
