B. B. Fowle of Mount Vernon, Washington, is lying at the home of his mother, Mrs.L.Fowle. 115 Franklin avenue, very low with cancer of the liver. Mr. Fowle. who Is an attorney of Mount Vernon, Washington, until eight years ago resided in this city, where he was born and raised. He visited here two years ago and had not been here since until his arrival five days ago to undergo medical treatment. However, he was in too weak a condition to undergo an operation and his demise Is expected at any hour..

B. B. Fowle. whose dangerous Illness was chronicled in The Northwestern Thursday evening, expired this morning at four o'clock. The deceased was suffering from cancer of the liver and accompanied by his wife, he came way from Washington to his native town a week ago to receive treatment He was too weak, however, to undergo an operation and his condition grew steadily worse until the time of his death.
Mr. Fowle was born in Rock county, in 1853, and removed with his parents to Oshkosh In 1868. Shortly afterwards the deceased moved to Kansas, where he resided until 1889, when he took up his residence In Washington.
At the time of his death, Mr.Fowle was a leading lawyer of Mt. Vernon, Skagit county.
The deceased leaves a wife and two children, a mother, L. Fowle, of this city, and the following sisters: Mrs. G.W.. Brlggs, of Kansas; Mrs. Anna D.. Adams Chicago; Mrs. F. E.. Waite, Mrs. B.J. Dale, Mrs. G. F. Wright and Mrs. R. F. Kellogg, all of this city. A brother, Chas, Fowle, resides In Dowagiac, Mich.
The funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m from the residence of G. F. Wright 115 Franklin avenue. Rev. E. H. Smith and Rev. H. Stone Richardson will officiate at the house and services at the grave will be In charge of the Masonic order, to which the deceased belonged.
