Arthur, he descends from Captain Daniel Alexander MacComas/McComas who was Captain of the Guards at Edinburgh Castle and fled Scotland with a price on his head, coming to Maryland 1685 where he married Elizabeth McGill/Magill in 1687.

Grandson of James Madison McComas and Lucinda 'Lucy' Hensley. Great-grandson of Rev William McComas (Memorial 53948947) and Mildred Ward. Great-great grandson of General Elisha McComas who fought in War of 1812 (33068716) and Annie French.

His Uncle Lafayette McComas born 1837 served in Civil War, Company E, 8th Virginia Cavalry died Jan 1864. There is a "Lafe" listed as buried at Bowen Cemetery. His parents, 3 siblings and Aunt Emma McComas Adkins also there.
