Mrs. Hicks was born May 3, 1943 in San Antonio, TX to John and Fannie Edgar. She married Charles R. Hicks, Sr. on September 3, 1960. Mrs. Hicks was retired from TXU where she was the first female equipment operator TXU had. Glenda enjoyed working in her yard and fishing. Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hicks, Sr. and her parents, John and Fannie Edgar.
She is survived by her childhood friend of 59 years, Norma Sisemore and husband Dave; brother Johnny Edgar and wife Billie; daughters, Mona Hicks Baker and husband Frankie, and Niiki McLearen and friend Curtis Brown; son, Charles Hicks, II; grandchildren, Amber Ferguson and husband Michael, Ashley Casper, Donald ‘JB’ Rushin, Charlie Casper and wife Jessica, Alyssa Mortimer, Charles ‘Bubba’ Hicks III, Julie Baker, Arden Baker, Alex Baker and Steven Bostick; great-grandchildren, Colton, Brody, Owen and Sophie Ferguson and Chelsea, Chandan, Chesnee and Chandler Casper.
The family would like to thank the staff at Royal Manor Nursing Home and Providence Hospice for the wonderful care given to Glenda.
