Mrs. Alice Ackert, wife of the late William C. Ackert, died Thursday night at the Northern Dutchess Hospital, where she had been ill for the past nine weeks. She was a daughter of the late Robert J. L. Marshall and Sally Pink Marshall and was born in Rhinebeck. She had always made her home here. She was a life member of Beekman Chapter, No. 496 O. E. S. and had held offices in the chapter for many years. Surviving are a son Louis A. Ackert, a daughter, Mrs. Jennie D. Coon of Rhinebeck and five grandchildren, Louis and Henry Ackert of Albany, Mrs. Mary Delaney of Manchester Road, Poughkeepsie; William C. Coon of Rhinebeck and Mrs. Gerald Flewelling of Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon in the Reformed church, with the Rev. Frank D. Blanchard officiating and burial will take place in Rhinebeck cemetery. The Rhinebeck Gazette, March 17, 1939
