Christopher C. PHILBROOK was born on 26 July 1830 in Licking County, Ohio. He served in the military during the Civil war, Co. I, 6th Iowa Infantry between 1861 and 1862. He was killed during the Battle of Shiloh on 6 April 1862 at the age of 31. Christopher was buried at National Cemetery in Shiloh, Hardin, Tennessee.
It is said that Christopher is buried as one of the unknown soldiers.
