Mrs. Caroline (Lena) Andres, 77, former Manitowoc resident, died Saturday afternoon at Maple Crest
Home, Whitelaw.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home,Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Clement P. Kern will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The former Caroline Kohlbeck was born Jan. 23, 1887, at Menominee, Mich., daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Kohlbeck. She came to Manitowoc as a young woman and was married Nov. 26, 1912, at St. Boniface Catholic Church to August E. Andres. He died June 12, 1932.
Before moving to Maple Crest Home Mrs. Andres had resided six years at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc. She was a past president and honorary life member of Christian Mothers Altar Society of St. Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. William Theisen of Branch, Mrs. Bernard Duffy of Los Angeles and Mrs. Jack Schultz of Antigo; a brother, Anton Kohlbeck of Muskegon, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Bakas of Hillside, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Edmund Grall, died Nov. 23, 1960, and two brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o’clock this Monday evening by members of St. Paul Parish and Christian Mothers Altar Society.
