Ansorge

Elmer C. Ansorge Sr., 67, of 1413 S. 21st St., Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thaddeus J. Koszarek will officiate with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Ansorge was born Nov. 7, 1907, in the Town of Newton, son of the late Ernest and Meta Schmidt Ansorge. He married Sophie E. Revolinsky Aug. 6, 1930, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He was employed for 36 years at Manitowoc Engineering Co., retiring at the end of 1972. He was a 50 year member of Eagles Aerie 706 of Manitowoc.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Elmer J. Ansorge Jr., of Grafton; a daughter, Jane C. Ansorge, of Aurora, Colo.; three brothers, Frederick and Herbert, of Manitowoc and Louis, of Whitelaw; a sister, Mrs. Elda Olp, of Manitowoc and three grandchildren, Brian, Bradley and Amy Jo Ansorge. A brother, Henry, and a sister, Linda, preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 o’clock this Friday evening, where a wake service will be at 7:30 o’clock.
