We have a report of two deaths in the family of South Main Street resident Mathias Koch.
On Sun. his mother-in-law, widow Monica Aumann, died of old age debility at the age of 87 yrs. 5 mos. 26 days. Mrs. Aumann, who leaves 7 children and countless grandchildren, was among the best known ladies of our city,having served as a mid-wife for many years. Despite her advanced age she
enjoyed, until a short while ago, good health and could be seen moving about the streets of our city.
Her funeral took place Tues. morning from the Catholic Church.
After returning from the funeral, Mrs. Mathias Koch, the daughter of the just buried lady, suffered a cerebral stroke and also passed away. She was 46 yrs. 4 mos. 13 days of age and leaves a husband and 3 children mourning her unanticipated death.
Her funeral will take place this afternoon at the Catholic Cemetery.
