Ruby Louise (Anders) Lewis, 93 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at her home on Friday, April 3, 2015.

The daughter of Eddie and Janie (Garrett) Anders, she was born on January 30, 1922 Bible Grove, Missouri. On February 1, 1940 in Downing, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Henry Verlin Lewis and to this union one daughter, Diana was born.

Survivors include her daughter, Diana Dawson and husband, Tim of Moulton, Iowa; one grandson, Stacy Dawson and wife, Ashley of Queen City, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Dylan & Ian Dawson of Memphis, Missouri; four step great grandchildren, Ally, Payge, Mayson and Shelby of Queen City, Missouri; two sisters, Daisy Blaine of Unionville, Missouri, formerly of Queen City, Missouri and Anna Fern Halverson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews and other family members.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry on August 29, 1989; one sister, Violet Aldridge and one brother, Floyd Anders.

Ruby and Henry lived most of their lives in Downing, Missouri where they were grain and livestock farmers. After Henry passed away, Ruby moved to Lancaster, Missouri. Her hobbies were her grandson, Stacy, gardening and sewing.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Special CD selections of “The Old Rugged Cross” and “You Are My Sunshine” will be performed. Pallbearers will be Stacy Dawson, Royce Jeffries, David Basinger, Jake McClellan, Bill Horn, and Roger Stice. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 between the hours of 6-8:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the family. Burial will be in the Downing Cemetery in Downing, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
