Charles Louis O'Connell was born July 20, 1885 at Bankston, Iowa, and passed away September 19, 1945, in Kalispell. In 1888 Mr. O'Connell moved to Vermillion, South Dakota, with his family and in 1902 came to the Flathead , settling in the Lower Valley.
In 1916, Mr. O'Connell was united in marriage to Helen Waigle and they continued to make their home in the Lower Valley until 1938 when they moved to Niarada where they purchased the Noffsinger ranch, and since that time have made their home there.
Besides his widow, Mrs. C.L. O'Connell, he is survived by three sons: Francis of Kalispell, Roderick of Honolulu, and Charles of Niarada; and one daughter, Mrs. Margaret McClench of Whitefish. Also, one brother, William H. O'Connell of Columbia Falls and five grandchildren: Larry, Dennis and Carol, Ann O'Connell and Sheila and Eria Lou McClench.
