Joseph E. Becker, age 84, formerly of 1612 S. 25th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, March 6, 1996, at St. Mary’s Home, Manitowoc
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 1996, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Romn Zbieranski O.F.M. and Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
He was born September 25, 1911, in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Mary Budysz Becker. On April 30, 1935, he married the former Lucille M. Jagodinsky at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Becker was eemployed for 47 years at the Mirro Corporation. He was inducted in to Kenny’s Softball Hall of Fame in 1989 and was an avid bowler and dartball player. Mr. Becker was also a charter member of St. Mary’s Men’s Club and the Senior Center.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Becker, Manitowoc; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jon and John Krey, Manitowoc, Marilyn and Tom Gulseth, Oconomowoc, Janet and Bill Wydick, Manitowoc; 12 grandchildren, Susanna Maria Schaus, Greg (Julie) Schaus, Ann (Chris) Hansen, Debra (Dave) Bruss, Sandra (Steve) Hoyt, Cheryl (Jeff) Schleis, Cindy (John) Brock, Tim Gulseth, Joe (Vicky) Schaus, Linda (Alan) Halla, Laurie Gulseth, Michele (Jeff) MacDonald; 17 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Richard and Margaret Becker, Chester Becker, Hillary and Georgiana Becker; three sisters, Sophie Bies, Blanche Neuser, Esther Bertler, all of Manitowoc; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Alex, Frank, and Stanley, an three sisters, Agnes, Josephine, and Emily.
Friends may call at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 9 a.m. Friday until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Joe was a kind and gentle man who was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
