Mrs. Carrie C. Estill, 78, of 2716 S. State St. died at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital.
A resident of Springfield for 20 years, Mrs. Estill was born in Greenview, the daughter of George and Alice Walker Gibbs.
A son, Sidney, died in 1935.
She was a member of South Side Christian Church and Royal Neighbors of America.
Surviving are her husband, Ira; three sons, Merle L. and Lowell, of Springfield; John, of Bloomington; one sister, Mrs. Josie Knowles, of Middletown; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were at Bisch Memorial Home.
Burial was in Indian Point Cemetery.
