Daughter of Joseph Henry Wilkins and Irena Strawderman of Hardy County WV, Sarah Marshall married Henry Frank Marshall of Jefferson Co. PA. She was the mother of nine children, seven of whom lived to their adult years. They were Eugene Frederick Marshall, Eva Marshall Brockman, Forrest Henry Marshall, Bertha Marshall Ingram, Leslie Ray Marshall, Walter Gilbert Marshall, and Alene Marshall Steve. The children who died young were Edna May Marshall (born and died in the East) and the ninth child, a baby boy, who was stillborn in 1919.
