The family of James Daniel Wright announces his death on March 17, 2015 just short of his 90th birthday. James died peacefully at Bluewater Health, Sarnia Ontario, surrounded by family. Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Eileen Mary (Gold) in 1997. Devoted father to daughter Barbara of Sarnia, Ontario and to son Dan of Calgary, Alberta. Dear brother to Jean (and the late Archie) Murdoch of Toronto. Predeceased by his sister Mary (and the late Bruce) Ferron of Toronto and his parents James and Florence Wright of Petrolia. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, friends and colleagues, neighbors and all who knew him.

Jim was a Life member of St. Paul 601 and Liberty Lodge 419 AF & AM Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario. He was a member of Hiawatha Chapter 252 Royal Arch Masons, a member of Royal and Select Masters, a member of St. Simon of Cyrene 52 Knights Templar, and a member of the AMD and in all of these bodies he held Grand Rank. Jim was also a member of the Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine, the York Rite College, Aaron Council Order of High Priesthood, a Shriner member of the Mocha Temple, a Past Director of the Royal Order of Jesters (London Court #56), and belonged to the Electricians Union - Local 530.

Friends and family may visit at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, Ontario on Thursday March 19, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. Liberty Lodge 419 will hold a Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 at one o’clock p.m., at RESURRECTION CEMETERY, 1885 London Line, Sarnia. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society – Patient Services would be greatly appreciated by the family.
