In the early Nineteen Hundred's there was no burying place between Bristol and Gordonsville so when Lottie's third child,Max Rogers died he was the first person to be buried beside the new (1911) Primitive Baptist Church in the parish of Kent. There was no Fielding yet and no cemetery so,Lottie bought a piece of ground from Tressa Bell, deed number 62650 and in 1919 she sold it and deeded the ground to the Primitive Baptist Church, FIELDING
"for the sole purpose of a Burying Ground for all sects and creeds" deed number 62651. It is now the Fielding Cemetery.
About 1918 Nelson Rogers made application for a Post Office and he chose the name Fielding in honour of a Federal Member of Parliament. The member's name was William Steven Fielding and thereby the Community and the Cemetery gained a name. The Post office has ceased to exist.
