5 DAY ILLNESS FATAL TO WM. BRUNNER, 58
Coming down with pneumonia on Sylvester eve, William Brunner, 58, passed away last night at 12 o'clock at the hospital here, where he was removed from his home when his condition became critical.
His death was a shock to his family and friends. Mr. Brunner had been employed as a woodworker at the plant of the Welch Mfg. Co.

He was born in Green Bay and spent his early life in Germany ot (sic) which country his parents removed when he was a boy. Later he came back to this country and located in this city. He was married here in 1899 to Theresa Grall, who survives him with one daughter Dolores.

Two brothers, Frank of Milwaukee and Joseph of Germany and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Kanthack of Chicago and Mrs. Albert Kanthack of Fox Lake, Ill. also survive.

The deceased was a member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, the St. Boniface society and the Holy Name society. The remains were removed this afternoon to the family home, 1017 South 14th street from the Wattawa-Urbanek-Schlei funeral home. Funeral services will be held
on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock from the St. Boniface church, with burial in Calvary cemetery.
