Virginia Lee "Ginger" Stine, 76, of Libertytown, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her home, following a brief illness.

Born September 19, 1938 in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late George Norman Stevens Sr. and Helen Irene Joy Stevens.

She was the wife of Charles William "Bill" Stine, her husband of 56 years.

Mrs. Stine was an in-home daycare provider for more than 40 years. She was an active member of the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Company, as well as the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church of Libertytown. She loved camping, dancing, flowers, and most of all spending time with her family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children and spouses, Kenny and Cathy Stine of Keymar, Lisa and Joe Bennett of Libertytown, Randy and Shelley Stine of Monrovia; son-in-law, Tommy King of Woodsboro; seven grandchildren, Michael Stine and Elaine, Brittany Baugher and Brandon, Brian Stine, Brandon Stine and Jessica Imler, Brooke Stine, Cassie King, and Brandi Stine; four great-grandchildren, Lindsay Stine, Hunter Stine, Ty Baugher, and Rebecca Stine; four sisters; two brothers; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathy L. King in 2009; two sisters, and two brothers.

The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Road, Libertytown on Thursday, April 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a Christian wake service will be held at 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church of Libertytown, 9101 Church St., Union Bridge. Msgr. John Dietzenbach will be the celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
