Funeral services for Bobbie Joyce Hanks, 84, of Whitehouse, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 3, 2015 at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Sherman Mayfield and Bennie Portwood officiating. Burial is in Whitehouse Cemetery.
Bobbie passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, in Tyler.
Bobbie was born on July 2, 1930 in Whitehouse, to Bertha Gillam Griffin and Thomas Roy Griffin.
Bobbie lived in Whitehouse her entire life. She retired from Trane Corp. She was a member of Whitehouse First United Methodist Church and was active in Whitehouse Senior Citizens Center and Whitehouse YMCA.
She is survived by daughters, Linda Ham, of Whitehouse and Maria Davenport and husband, Joe, of Whitehouse; sons, Larry Hearon, of Tyler and Kenneth Hearon and wife, Sue, of Whitehouse; stepson, Terry Hanks and wife, Thelma Jo, of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Christy Hearon Hubbard and James, of Tyler, Kori Hearon and Leigh Ann, of Waskom, Joe W. Putman and Stephanie Berry, of Red Rock, Marty L. Ham and Leslie, of Carthage, Lisa Ham Miller and Luke, of Tyler, Josh Putman, of Austin, and Kasey Hearon and Meagan, of Whitehouse; great-grandchildren, Blake Hubbard, Katelyn Hearon, Macy Hearon, Kendall Hightower, Matthew Ham, Kira Berry Putman, Hadley Hearon, Lincoln Miller, and Adyn and Jarrett Wright; brother, Weldon Griffin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Acker Hanks; brother, James E. Griffin; and son-in-law, Leon Ham.
Pallbearers will be Kori Hearon, Joe W. Putman, Marty Ham, Josh Putman, Kasey Hearon, Blake Hubbard and Matthew Ham.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
