Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home
and 9:30 a.m. at St. Andre Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev.
James Stamborski will officiate with burial in Calvary Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Cooper was born Aug. 12, 1912, at Manitowoc, son of the late
Warren and Elizabeth Zych Cooper, residing in Manitowoc all his life.
He was graduated from St. Boniface Parochial School and Lincoln
High School with the Class of 1930. He married Evelyn Ellerman May
28, 1938, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He had been
employed at Pauly Cheese Co. for 28 years and was presently
employed in the boat department at Mirro Aluminum Co. He as a member
of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 706 and Knights of Columbus No.
710. Mr. Cooper also owned and operated Cooper's Bar at Manitowoc
for five years.
Survivors include his wife, a son, two daughters (names omitted for privacy);
a brother, Jerome, of Hawthorne, Nev., and six grandchildren.
A sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday,
where a memorial service will be at 8 p.m. by members of the parish,
Knights of Columbus and friends.
