PITTSVILLE — Merritt E. Blanchard, 89, Pittsville, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home, Port Edwards, where he lived since December of 1973.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Evangelical Free Church, Pittsville, the Rev. Dan Carlson, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville.
Mr. Blanchard was born Nov. 18, 1886, at Rudolph, and farmed for many years in the town of Dexter before moving to Pittsville in 1950. He married Tillie Getzman [sic] and she and a son preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Hansen Chapel, Marshfield, until 9 o'clock this evening and Tuesday at the church from 11 a.m. until time of services.
