On October 22, 1952, he was married to Bessie Dymacek Enderud. They lived on a farm for 17 years before retiring. Then they moved to 111 So. Market, Caldwell, Kansas.
He was Sunday School secretary for 30 years, past president of the Historical Society and member of Caldwell Museum Board, past president of the Chisholm Trail Angus Society, and past president of the Senior Citizens. He was a wonderful caring person and a friend to all who knew him.
