He lived in London for most of his adult life, and worked as a train engineer for the London, Port Stanley Railroad before WWII. Serving in the Royal Canadian Army, he fought U-boats in WWII. After the war, he worked at Labatt's Brewery.
He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Marguerite (Firth) Bryan; father of Wayne of Pt. Perry, Carl of St. Joseph, Missouri, Lionel of Caledon and Mrs. Lee (Deborah) Ross of St. Joseph, Michigan; and brother of Mrs. Fred (Minnie) Adams of London. He was also survived by 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services were held at the Needham Funeral Chapel, 520 Dundas Street, Rev. Farquhar MacKinnon of Centennial United Church officiating. Cremation followed at the Mt. Pleasant Crematorium.
