John Henry Shipp known as "Jack" was born in Trenton, NJ on July 27,1927. He spent much of his early life living on Walnut Avenue in Trenton. He lived with his mother, Nora Winsor Shipp and father, Earl E. Shipp in the home of his maternal grandfather, John Henry Winsor. He spent some of his teen years serving in WWII in the US Navy. He then followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father by going to work for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Jack became a locomotive fireman and then an engineer for the railroad. He retired after many years of service and passed away suddenly on October 27, 1990 in Morrisville, PA. He is sorely missed by his wife, 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
