B. H. Blagg's Body is Found in Canal
Point Pleasant, West Virginia-December 10 (AP)
Recovery of the Body of Ben H. Blagg, missing city solicitor from a canal at Zanesville was reported to police today while they considered possibilities he had been kidnapped.
Blagg disappeared at Zanesville, Ohio Friday night while returning from two men and a woman client from Wooster, Ohio.
He was last seen by his companions when he left them at a garage while their automobile was being repaired.
The canal at Zanesville was drained to recover the body, reports to Point Pleasent authorities said.
Earlier Sheriff Gus Douglas of Mason county had announced that if the body was not recovered his office might shift the basis for the search to a theory of kidnapping.
Blagg is the father of Donald O. Blagg of Charleston a leader of the United Dry Forces of West Virginia.
