Going Home service for Mary Louise Franklin will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 in the G.A. Mangun Center of Alexandria with Reverend Anthony Mangun and Reverend Dennis Brown officiating.

Committal services will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Verda under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Mary, 82, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 09, 2015 in Alexandria. She was born April 10, 1932 in Rockport, Texas. Upon completing high school, Mary went on to further her education in accounting at the business college. She was a faithful member of the Pentecostals of Alexandria and dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was loved by all who knew her.


She is preceded in death by her mother, Beda Delilah Coleman; her husband, Freeman Franklin; one son, Freeman Wayne Franklin; two sisters, Patricia Dean Boykin and Francis LaVergne Boykin; step father, G.F. Coleman; two step brothers, Jack Coleman, Jr. and Glen Ralph Coleman.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are: three daughters, Cynthia Ann Beeson and husband Gary of Houma, LA, Pamela Faye Franklin of Pineville, LA, and Beda Renee Hendricks of Pineville, LA; 13 grandchildren, Jason Beeson, Jennifer Noble, Kimberly Beeson, Datha Stewart, Melynn Smith, Kristy Deglandon, Mandy Hendricks, Casey Hendricks, Justin Franklin, Megan Hendricks, Brittany Beeson, Callie Hendricks, Jeremy Beeson and 16 great grandchildren; an honorary daughter, Karen Thompson of Pineville, LA; two step brothers, G. C. Coleman and wife Donna of Cleveland, TN and Donald Wayne Coleman and wife Mary Alice of Dallas, TX; two step sisters, Sylvia Williamson of Shreveport, LA and Margie Bowman of Arcadia, LA; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Casey Hendricks, Courtney Smith, Greg Franklin, Brandon Melder, Geoffrey Daniel, and Derek Boothe.

Visitation will begin today, April 10, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., then on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. in the center.
