John R. Marling of 1310 Center St. died Friday morning, December 5, following a lingering illness.

He was born in Bellaire, Ohio, Nov. 30, 1875, a son of Mr. & Mrs. John Marling. He was a retired foreman at the U. S. Stamping Co., a member of the Baptist Church and the Stamping Company's Fifty Year Club.

Surviving are three sons, Edgar Marling and Raymond Marling, both of Moundsville, Robert Marling with the U. S. Army in Germany; one brother Roy Marling of Bellaire; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Riggs funeral home in Moundsville where funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, Dec. 8, at two o'clock with Rev. D. F. Desist in charge.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
