MRS. LELA BLANCH BORDEAUX MILLS
Mrs. Lela Blanch Bordeaux Mills, of Route 1, Box 368, Delco, N.C., died Saturday, July 31, 1993, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Delco. N.C., on June 25, 1903, the daughter of the late Arthur Alson and Katurah Hilburn Bordeaux.
Mrs. Mills was a charter member of the Prosper Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Malpass, Mrs. Evelyn Hannah, Mrs. Alma Buffkin and Mrs. Mildred Bordeaux all of Delco; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Lofton Bordeaux of Wilmington; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Bordeaux of Delco, N.C.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 3, 1993, at 3 p.m. in the Prosper Baptist Church by the Rev. Bob Compton and the Rev. Tex Floyd.
Interment will follow in the Prosper Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Bordeaux, Rudy Bordeaux, Jarred Brown, Wade Malpass, Terry Buffkin, Adam Buffkin, Larry Malpass and Michael Malpass.
Honorary pallbearers will be Elwood Hilburn, Steve Malpass, Charlie Moore, Edison Burns, Al Burns, George Becker, William Baker Burns. Robert Dale, and Dewey Bordeaux Jr.
The family will receive friends at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel on Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m.
