Mabel, the 11 year old daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Hugh McKinney, residing at 722 Conger, died Christmas night of consumption, & was buried at Ham's Grove Cemetery. **********************************
Even though the paper says 11 year old daughter, it is my belief that she was an 11 month old child. She does not show up on the 1900 census; her father wasn't married and only age 16 still living with his mother. I have the newspaper article for this child. The 1910 Jefferson County, Illinois census for her mother says that she had four children and three are living and that she had been married for six years.
