Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Frances Reed of Naples; one son, Melvin Reed; three stepsons, Lt. Guy Geithmann of Hampton, VA, Melvin Geithmann of Toledo, OH and Joseph Geithmann of Naples, FL; a stepdaughter, Mrs. John Wolfe of Tampa, FL; and 10 step-grandchildren.
He is also survived by three brothers, Earl Reed and William Reed, both of Joplin, MO and Melvin Reed at Galena, KS; and two sisters, Mrs. Vera Reed of Galena, KS and Mrs. Venita Repp of Blue Mound, KS.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday 10:30 at Naples Memorial Gardens with Rev. Harland Fague officiating.
Friends may call at the Earl G. Hodges Funeral Chapel Friday from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm where members of the Tamlaml Trail Lodge No 262 F&AM will conduct Masonic Services at 8 p.m.
