Deborah Blount, 64, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 12, 2015.
Deborah was born on November 7, 1950 in Thomaston, Georgia, a daughter of the late Henry Eugene and Lillian Parker Smith. For years, she worked for Woodmen of the World and was currently employed with HEA Credit Union. She enjoyed attending Harvest Church. Deborah will be remembered by all who knew her as being devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren who she absolutely treasured.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 14 years, Alvin Blount of Bonaire; children, Jason Richitt of Huntington Beach, California and Andrea Schoenith (Wes) of Bonaire; grandchildren, Tyler Durham, and Presley and Caleb Schoenith; brother, Steve Smith (Deborah) of Juliette; sisters, Cathy Fuller (Mitchell) of Kingsland and Lisa Cranford (Kenny) of Kathleen; and many adoring nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Dr. Michael Quicke will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Deborah Blount to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
