1) Roselina Jackson, b.1856 d.1874 She died after only 6 months of marriage.
2) Sarah Ellen Francis, b.1858 d.1897 (married in 1876) They had 8 children together. When she died their youngest child was only 1 year old.
3) Mary Letitia Awtry-Baldwin b.1858 d.1931 (Married abt 1897), they were only married a short time. She left George & went back to her first husband, William Baldwin, who she had children with. (I'm not sure we have the right Mary...).
4) Flora Lauderdale b.1863 d.1908 (married in 1898) They had 2 children together. She became ill with TB & went to live with her parents, leaving George with their two children. She died when her children were only 8 & 9 years of age.
5) Martha Ragan-Lamar b.1868 d.1939 (They share a headstone together). Martha had 3 children from her first marriage. Her daughter, Cora Lamar, married George Pennington's son from his 3rd marriage, Walter.
My first impression of George was not good when I found out how many times he'd been married. When I discovered the reason for his marriages, I developed great admiration for him.
