Albert James Wiley, son of James H., and Lucinda(Shearer)Wiley, was born On March 14, 1881, and departed this life at the Lacy convalescent home at the age of 77 years, one month, and 28 days.
He was united in marriage to Minnie Miller September 6, 1903. To this union four children were born, Clifford, Alvin, Irene, and one son Clyde, who died in infancy.
He united with the Christian Union Church early in his life and remained in that faith. He was a kind and loving father and will be sadly missed by his loved ones and anyone who ever met him. His failing health of many years he bore with patience, keeping faith and not complaining.
He was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers and two sisters.
He leaves to mourn his departure besides his immediate family, Eight Grandchildren, and one brother, Curt of Kansas City, Mo, besides a host of relatives and friends.
The Rev. W.A. Pollock officiated at services at the Hass funeral home at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, May 13.
Mrs. Bill Butler sang a solo, " Eastern Gate. " Mrs. Doyle Kies, Arlo Price and C.W. Fordyce sang "Going Down The Valley," and "Asleep In Jesus," accompanied by Mrs. Arlo Price. Burial was in Sharon Chapel Cemetery.
"Dear Father, you have left us, For that better home above.
Though your voice is gone from us.
