Esther Follmer was born near Ridgeway, MO, on November 18, 1907, and died September 26, 2001, at Woodbine Care Center, Gladstone, MO. She graduated from Cainsville High School as valedictorian of her class. She also attended Hardin College, Mexico, MO, and Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, MO. She taught in Harrison County schools for 11 years. In 1938, she married Lincoln Follmer. They lived on a farm near Cainsville, MO. She was active in several clubs and organizations among which was the Akron Community Club. Mr. Follmer died in 1969, after which she moved to Kansas City to be with her son Eugene. She was a member of Cainsville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Charles M. and Nellie B. Reeder, two brothers, Charles W. and J. Wibur Reeder. She leaves her son, Eugene L., of the home, sister, Clare R. Welsh, and two brothers, W. Paul of Ridgeway, MO, and James L. of Decatur, AL. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are at Cainsville First Baptist Church, Cainsville, MO, at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 30, with Rev. Boone officiating. Inurnment will be at Akron Cemetery. (Arrangements: Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 816- 942-2004)
