Mr. Reed served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. He retired from Littlestown Hardware and Foundry and had previously worked in construction. He was a life member of Hanover V.F.W.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Judy and husband Arnold Smith of Hanover, Bonnie and husband Paul Kagarise of Hanover, Kathy and husband Ronnie Williams of East Berlin and Lori and husband Edward Slonaker of Gettysburg; six sons, Ronnie and wife Janice Reed of Gettysburg, Terry and wife Debra Reed of Hanover, Robert Reed of New Oxford and Michael Reed, Barry Reed and Charles Reed, all of Littlestown; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Arlene Neiderer of Hanover.
Following a funeral service with the Rev. Samuel A. Garrett, Pastor of Gates Praise Worship Center, Littlestown officiating, interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Military Honors will be conducted by the Littlestown Allied Veterans Council.
