My Daddy
My Guardian Angel

VETERAN
World War II - Cpl
LA 138 Base Unit AAF

My dad Harry Glenn Babcock, was born in Nyack, NY on Aug. 11,1922 and was the only child of Harry and Clara Louise Quackenbush Babcock, the only grandchild of Frank and Jane E. Nickerson Babcock and the grandson of John William Quackenbush and Amanda A. Conklin Quackenbush.

On Dec. 30,1944 my dad married my mom Hazel Beatrice Ellis, in Pride, Louisiana at Bethel United Methodist Church. My parents had wanted a family for a long time and as they awaited the birth of their first and only child (me), God had other plans and my dad went to be one of God's Angels on June 2,1953 and I was born about 3 weeks later. We will have to wait for that first father-daughter dance but I look forward to the day I meet my dad for the first time and also to that first dance with him, at which time he will hold me in his arms for the very first time.

~I Love You Daddy~
